TK’S WORMHOLE: SOIL TO SKY WORKSHOP SERIES
Hands-on, minds-on learning — from the ground beneath your feet all the way to the sky above.
The Soil-to-Sky Workshop Series is an immersive, curiosity-driven programme designed to reconnect children with the natural world.
Each session blends science, storytelling, and discovery — helping young explorers understand how life thrives in the desert, one layer at a time.
Through live demonstrations, real specimens, and creative hands-on activities, participants build a deeper awareness of ecosystems, biodiversity, and sustainability — a home-grown educational programme about the ‘stuff’ right in our backyard here in the UAE.
Module 1
Secrets Beneath the Sand
Discover how life begins underground.
In this session, children explore the hidden world of soil — from dry desert sand to rich compost alive with tiny decomposers.
Module 2
Roots of Survival
Meet the desert’s green survivors — plants that thrive against all odds.
This session explores the resilience and genius of native plants like the Ghaf and Acacia, showing how they shape entire ecosystems.
Module 3
Wildlife & Conservation
Step into the desert’s living web.
Children meet the reptiles, mammals, birds, and insects that call this arid landscape home — and learn why balance is everything.
Module 4
Drops of Life
Follow the secret paths of water through the desert.
This final module reveals how every drop counts — and why water is the thread that ties all ecosystems together.
The Soil to Sky Workshop Series is the first educational programme created by TK’S WORMHOLE, founded by wildlife ecologist TK.
Born out of a love for nature and a desire to share it with the next generation, this home-grown series explores the desert’s hidden connections — from soil and plants to wildlife and water.
Each session is designed to spark curiosity, hands-on learning, and a sense of wonder about the natural world. The workshops are interactive, educational, and fun, encouraging children to look closer at the life all around them — even in the desert.
